Joe Sarro began his journey in the food distribution business in 2001 alongside his wife, Leanne, working as a Boar’s Head purveyor on Long Island, New York. The business is deeply rooted in family tradition. Leanne’s father, Lino Bordi, became a Boar’s Head distributor in 1982, building a successful Manhattan distribution business through old-school hustle, dedication, street smarts, and a reputation customers could trust. While Lino spent long days on the road servicing customers, Leanne’s mother, Ginny, managed the bookkeeping at night by hand with pencil and paper — a true family operation built from the ground up.

Bay State Deli Provisions is a locally owned and family-operated specialty food distributor proudly serving Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Founded by Joe and Leanne Sarro, our company is built on generations of hard work, trusted relationships, and a passion for delivering premium products and exceptional service to our customers.

Today, Joe and Leanne proudly continue that legacy as the next generation of Boar’s Head purveyors, alongside family members throughout the East Coast, including Joe’s brother-in-law, who operates his own Boar’s Head distributorship in Virginia Beach.

Starting with a small delivery route on Long Island, Joe and Leanne built their business by servicing independent delis, neighborhood markets, and super markets throughout Long Island and Manhattan. In 2011, they relocated their family to Massachusetts and founded Bay State Deli Provisions, expanding their commitment to quality products and personalized service throughout New England.

For over two decades, Bay State Deli Provisions has proudly partnered with family-owned specialty markets, independent delis, cafés, sandwich shops, upscale restaurants, schools, hotels, caterers, and multi-location supermarket chains. We understand that every customer is different, and we take pride in helping businesses grow by offering premium products, merchandising support, category expertise, and hands-on service that larger distributors simply cannot match.

Although our company has continued to grow, we remain committed to the same values that built this business from the beginning — family, integrity, hard work, and personal relationships.
